What is “Akiu Onsen”?
Akiu is a historic hot spa resort with chloride spring, gentle to skin.
Sendai is commonly known as “the city of woods”, and Akiu Onsen is the backyard of Sendai. The hot spring resort is historic with over 1,500 years of history and it is known as one of the top 3 hot springs in Japan. Nowadays, it is widely popular as a heart-soothing hot spring resort with magnificent nature.
The hot springs of our hotel are sulfur, sodium/ calcium chloride hot springs. The hot spring is highly moisturizing and heat keeping. Soak in and be soothed in the hear- warming experience with nourishing effect!

Our baths are covered with soft tatami, it is “non-slippery and thus safe”- which is absolutely family-friendly (for seniors and kids)!

The public bath is covered with tatami with fabulous walls and, surely, nice hot spring water. We also have baby bath in the male side and there is no age restriction for entry so ladies can indulge long in the mineral-rich healing powers. They will love it!

We do not have a dedicated resting room, but please relax in the lobby lounge as much as you can. There is also a great day plan that includes meals and bathing. please.
